President
Christine Schoellhorn
As president of TI Communities, Christine partners with the principals of Turner Impact Capital to advance the organization’s mission, vision, core values, strategic priorities, and growth goals. Ms. Schoellhorn was hand-selected to build and lead a team of socially minded individuals, leverage technology, and focus talent and solutions to enrich communities for working individuals and families in our country’s most at-risk neighborhoods.
Ms. Schoellhorn successfully launched TI Communities in October 2017, leveraging her previously-held leadership roles with Steadfast Companies, The Irvine Company, BRE Properties, and Greystar. Her track record of implementing change with measurable results and leading organizations through growth and continuous improvement was an ideal fit for the needs of a start-up property management firm.
Ms. Schoellhorn received a Master of Business Administration degree from the Graziadio Graduate School of Management at Pepperdine University and holds a Certified Property Manager accreditation from IREM. Ms. Schoellhorn possesses a keen understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources. Ms. Schoellhorn is known as an inspiring leader who can work within an ambiguous, fast-paced environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions. Her demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems combined with her relentless commitment to operational excellence, innovative approach to solving business problems, and aptitude for partnering cross-functionally, have proven successful throughout her career.
Senior Vice President
Carrie Polonsky
As employee number two at TI Communities, Carrie has been part of the company’s heartbeat since day one—helping shape its vision, culture, and occasional chaos into something extraordinary. She’s led multiple departments, built programs from scratch, and has a knack for turning “we’ve never done that before” into “why didn’t we do this sooner?”
Known for her strategic mind, sharp humor, and get-it-done energy, Carrie brings equal parts grit and levity to every situation thrown her way.
Like all great love stories, Carrie’s begins with an accidental meeting with a stranger. Carrie stumbled upon the multifamily industry, and like most fateful paths, it turned out to be exactly where she was meant to be. Since that momentous day in 1993, she’s held leadership roles with Planned Property Management, AIMCO, Advanced Management Company, and Steadfast Companies, earning a reputation for building high-performing teams, cultivating strong cultures, and pulling off complex operations (while always managing to have a little fun along the way).
A sought-after speaker at IREM, TAA, NAA, and local Apartment Association events, Carrie also serves on the Advisory Board for ApartmentSEO and the multifamily industry’s only Multifamily Strategic Marketing Summit (formerly Social Media Summit).
When she’s off the clock, Carrie’s usually plotting her next getaway, spending time with her teenagers, or mastering the fine art of laughing too loud over good food and even better stories. To wind down (read: time spent at stop lights), Carrie loves to play Wordle and brag to her friends when she can solve it in only two tries … which has happened precisely one time.
Vice President
Paige Velazquez
Paige serves as Vice President of Operations at TI Communities, where she leads with clarity, experience, and a deep commitment to the company’s mission. She approaches her work with purpose and resilience, bringing thoughtful strategy to daily operations while keeping people at the center of every decision. Helping teams thrive and translating big ideas into meaningful, executable action is what keeps her energized, even on the toughest days.
Outside of work, Paige is a proud mom of two, an aspiring home decorator who remains cautiously optimistic around power tools, and a former horse girl who never quite outgrew the dream. She enjoys working out, always has a book nearby, and never passes up a good shopping trip. While attending Tarleton State University, she chaired the Food for Kids program in Stephenville, Texas, an experience that continues to shape her passion for serving at-risk communities.
